Amanda Meadows
Resident in Counseling, MEd
About Me
Amanda Meadows is a Resident in Counseling who brings warmth, intuition, and depth to her work with clients. She believes therapy is a space to slow down, make sense of your story, and reconnect with what feels most authentic. Her approach blends existential and relational-analytic perspectives, integrating mindfulness, self-compassion, and insights from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the Gottman Method to help individuals and couples deepen understanding, strengthen connection, and navigate life’s transitions with greater clarity and ease.
Amanda works with adolescents, adults, and couples as they explore identity, anxiety, communication, and relational patterns. With nearly twenty years as a military spouse, she carries a deep respect for the complexities of transition, belonging, and the courage it takes to rebuild a sense of self through change.
She earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William & Mary, specializing in Military and Veteran Counseling. Amanda’s style is compassionate, collaborative, and reflective, meeting clients where they are while guiding them toward growth that feels both grounded and meaningful.
At the heart of her work is the belief that healing begins with awareness and connection, with ourselves, with others, and with the lives we’re creating.
